Filming of the locally made film PRELUDE TO MACBETH has been taking place in St Michael's and other cheshire locations. It is based on the life of Macbeth while married to the first Lady
Macbeth and had its world premiere at the Gladstone Village Hall, on Saturday 29th January 2011.
The film will go on to do the rounds of UK and international film competitions and festivals.
Based on a prize-winning stage play, the film version with a running time of one hour, was directed by Sue Bence and produced by Neston film maker James Chalmers.
The actors and extras are from the Wirral and Cheshire and much of the shooting was done locally.

At the scene with the body, Macbeth was very upset and in the scene
in the porch he had told the king (Duncan) that he could no longer serve
in his army Duncan 'bribed' him with Glamis Castle to get him back.
The bad second Lady Macbeth depicted in the play 'Macbeth' caught him at
his most vulnerable. |
